On 6 July 2009, Ashish Chanchlani started his YouTube channel named ‘Ashish Chanchlani Vines’. Before YouTube, he used to share his comedy and funny videos on various social media platforms. Interesting is that he left his graduate study in between to focus on YouTube videos. In December 2014 his video ‘How to annoy people who say – Tu Mere Baap ko Jaanta hai’ (Do you know my dad?), went viral and he started creating more comedy videos on his YouTube channel in the form of comedy dramas of 8-10 minutes. In January 2019, the channel had more than 10 million subscribers.

After finishing his school education, he attended the Navi Mumbai, Datta Meghe College of Engineering to pursue his civil engineering. Before becoming a YouTube star, he used to share his own videos on other social media sites for gaining popularity. Despite that, he left his studies in the middle to focus more on his channel to grow the audience through his videos. As of December 2021, he has gained a subscriber base of over 27 million on his Youtube channel.

He had started making vines, at the time when BB Ki vine did not even start his channel on Youtube. In the initial phase, he did not intend to upload his videos on his channel but he kept him busy to increase his fan following on Facebook as well as on Instagram.
